My journey into the world of design began with a childhood love for drawing and a deep passion for art and creation. This early interest led me to explore various creative outlets, from songwriting and video production to hands-on building. My decision to pursue design was a natural extension of my desire to create.
With over a decade of experience in designing user-friendly interfaces across various platforms, I've spent most of my recent years elevating the user experience for tech startups. My work has engaged millions of users, enhancing interactions and conversion rates all along the way. A notable highlight was my time at Aviary, where I worked on their iOS photo editing app. As someone who enjoys video editing and is attracted to tools that empower creators, I found this project especially fulfilling and closely aligned with my personal interests—it had that cool factor.
My approach to design is methodical yet creative. I start by understanding the project and the customers needs, followed by research. Brainstorming, sketching, drafting, and iterative feedback are integral parts of my process, leading to a refined product. I always consider standard design practices while remaining open to innovative solutions.
I co-founded a design agency (Departika) that has continued to thrive for over 15 years. I grew a digital design business (Designfruit) that gained recognition in over 25 magazines and on a variety of products. These journeys honed my skills in UX/UI, collaboration, attention to detail, and proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, Webflow, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and more, creating wireframes, prototypes, and motion designs.
Even though I been involved in most every step of the design process, even some minor coding at times, my favorite place to be is exploring and iterating on a beautiful interface design.
Looking ahead, I want to work with a great team where I can apply my skills and experiences to to change user's lives for the better.
